Teaching & Performance

As a strong advocate for the appreciation of every musician's own pathway and their definitions of success, I believe in supporting each individual learner with encouragement and positivity to enable them to thrive both musically and personally.

I hold the Royal Academy of Music's Licentiate Diploma in Instrumental Teaching in addition to a Masters in Instrumental Performance and currently teach both privately and in schools.

I have also held workshops and supported oboe reed making for the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland, The National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, and the West Australian Youth Orchestras.

In addition to on this site, BB Reeds and Music can also be found stocked at Howarth of London.

Please get in touch at info@bbreedsandmusic.com should you wish to discuss similar partnerships.

Following studies at the Royal Academy of Music (UK), Royal Northern College of Music (UK), Conservatorium Den Haag (NL) and Conservatorium van Amsterdam (NL), I have performed with orchestras including the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria, Perth Symphony Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, Sinfonia Viva, Metropole Orketst and the Asko Schönberg Ensemble.

When not making reeds, teaching or performing, I work in pastoral care with young musicians. I am also undertaking training to become a fully qualified counsellor with the British Association for Counsellors & Psychotherapists.

I will continue to employ these skills within all of my current roles, but hope to also work more widely across the arts in roles that support the well being of individuals, ensembles and institutions in the future.
