100% Recycled Packaging
The British Double Reed Society's Instrument Bank Scheme encourages diversity amongst budding double-reed players.

The BDRS ensure that aspiring musicians of all levels benefit from the instrumental legacy of under-utilised oboes and bassoons donated by generous benefactors.
​
BB Reeds & Music are delighted to have been in a position to contribute towards this effort through the donation of an oboe in March 2024.

So far, across 2024-25, BB Reeds & Music have attended BDRS events at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, Royal Academy of Music and Royal Northern College of Music. We have also attended and supported Double-Reed Day events in Belfast, Gloucestershire, Wells Cathedral School and on the South-Coast.

By bringing along our travelling library of double-reed literature to events, those interested are able to access information of specific interest that are often hard to find!
At all trade stand exhibitions, we offer no-strings-attached reed advice and adjustment services.
You are always more than welcome to come over and say hello and ask any questions

Don't forget to design your own reed water pot- Free of charge, of course!

As our business grows, we generate more 'waste' cane. Although not quite up to scratch for us to sell, it is perfect for those just starting to learn shaping, tying on and scraping. We're very pleased to have been able to share this excess cane with music students across Conservatoires, their junior departments and in specialist music schools.
